HOW TO PRAY (MT. 6:7-13)
Modlitwa:
O Jesus, teach me to pray as you prayed.
Wyobraźnia:
Picture Jesus teaching His disciples the Our Father.
Kontekst:
The Lord’s prayer has seven petitions. The first three – “hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done” are really the same, asking Jesus to return in glory. The last four petitions focus on what you need to gain the Kingdom.
Tekst Ewangelii: (Czytaj powoli, ewentualnie na głos)
When you pray do not use many words, for the heavenly Father knows what you need before you ask. When you pray, say:
“Our Father, who are in heaven. Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
